MVM Detection Kit is a real-time qPCR test kit for rapid detection of Minute Virus of Mice (MVM) contamination introduced by murine-derived cells (CHO, BHK, NS0, etc.), animal-derived raw materials and laboratory environments in biological products.
The SHENTEK® MVM Detection Kit detects the four strains of Minute Virus of Mice (i, p, m, c) with highly sensitive detection of up to 50 copies per PCR reaction. It exhibits high specificity, eliminating cross-amplification with engineered cells (CHO, VERO, 293T, MDCK, NS0, Sf9) and engineered bacteria (E. coli, Pichia pastoris). Equipped with an internal control (IC) and in conjunction with SHENTEK® Virus DNA & RNA Extraction Kit (Product No. 1506730), this kit can efficiently recover viral nucleic acids from complex samples such as cells and sera.
